Legendary detective, complicated cases, dangerous criminals
Belgian detective Hercule Poirot must urgently leave Istanbul for England, but there are no more free seats on the "Oriental Express". He is rescued by an old friend, Monsieur Bouc, the owner of the company that owns the train. In the morning at breakfast, the detective notices that the passengers of the express train are people of different nationalities who happened to be in the same carriage. The American Ratchett, who seems too suspicious to Poirot, asks the detective to become his bodyguard. But he refuses. At night, Poirot is constantly awakened by various noises and knocks, and then there is silence - due to snowdrifts, the train stops somewhere in Yugoslavia, the passengers are tense, and the strange Mr. Ratchett lies dead in his compartment... Detective Poirot sets out to investigate.
