Normal People
At school, Marianne and Connell pretend not to know each other. He is popular and loved by everyone, she is a lonely weirdo openly mocked by others. However, a remarkable connection arises between them, which they decide to keep secret and which from then on changes their lives forever. Later, at a Dublin college, Marianne confidently fits into the local society, while Connell awkwardly searches for his place among the capital's bohemians.
Over the years of studying, they constantly circle around each other, sometimes drifting apart, sometimes coming closer, but still, there is something between them that incredibly attracts them to each other. Among other relationships, Marianne's drive for self-destruction, Connell's depression, they experience how how far they can go in their desire to just be normal people and ultimately — unexpectedly save each other.
